In operator cabins, the vacuum is commonly mounted near the operator seat or in another easily accessible location so operators can quickly vacuum dust from their clothing, boots, seats, and surrounding cabin surfaces during daily use.
For room pressurisation systems, the vacuum is typically installed near the room entrance so personnel can clean dust from their outfit and boots before moving fully into the pressurised room. This helps reduce the amount of site dust brought inside and limits further airborne dust circulation within the room.
The vacuum also comes with an extension rod and long hose attachment, allowing operators to clean cabin floors, room floors, corners, and other hard-to-reach areas more effectively.
Can a HEPA vacuum be used for respirable dust?
Yes. Our VacSafe HEPA vacuum is designed for respirable dust and can help capture respirable crystalline silica and fine dust generated in mining, drilling, cutting, grinding, and maintenance activities.
Silica dust is extremely fine and can remain airborne if it is disturbed or cleaned with incorrect methods, such as dry sweeping or compressed air.
